What are the best events when celebrating new years eve in Berlin?
This is the most hectic day of the year. The city gets flooded with visitors and most people dont know how to navigate it. Which is why I want to help out! Provide a bit of insight. Some recommendations. Make your life easier.
I don't get any affiliate revenue. I don't get paid to promote certain events, and I don't benefit in any other way from it. This is just my pure and honest opinion after being raised in Berlin and knowing the scene well. So le't start with my overall opinion first:
Going out in Berlin on New Years Eve is a terrible Idea! The city becomes a warzone! Drunk inconsiderate idiots are everywhere. Most events/parties are overpriced and overcrowded, as well as filled with even more drunk and drugged idiots.
Do yourself a favour and on NYE. Stay at home or in a small bar with some good friends or family!
For a decade, it has been proven (by me), that the best parties actually happen a few days before NYE, mainly the 27-29 December. This year, even more so, because those days are on a weekend. You will have a far better time going out during those days. You'll meet more energetic, motivated, and most likely more local people than on the 31st.
If you wan't to go out on NYE itself, don't do it during peak times! Don't celebrate the years beginning in some queue in front of a club. Please, have some self-respect! Don't freeze off your ass, just to find yourself in an overcrowded club. Be smart, go out a bit later, from 5am onwards. You will have the exact same party experience, without the organizational headache.
Even better, celebrate NYE privately, go to bed, and go out in the morning again. Well rested, freshly showered. Start into the new year with a good feeling.
Additionall tip: Berlin is literally a warzone. Especially if you're next to large public places. The people here behave in a way I can't comprehend. Illegal fireworks, sometimes thrown at people, out of windows. If you're a women it's even worse. From 31.12 1 pm, only go by car or even better call an Uber! The city is not safe until the 2nd January!
But enough of this intro, you're here to know what the best parties are. I compiled a selection of my favorite venues, clubs, and collectives organizing something around NYE. Whatever you choose, stay safe, but most importantly, enjoy yourself!
Friday - 26.12.2025
Fr. 22:00 – Sun. 10:00 | House, Minimal
Only 7 DJs spanned over 36 hours. Finally some extended sets! Time Table is not out yet but Konstantin aka Kettenkarussel is particularly interesting!
Fr. 20:00 – Sat. 10:00 | (Hard) Techno, Trance, Disco, Pop
IMO the only party in KitKat with decent music. Queer, gay, colorful vibes. Usually a positive crowd, but come early as Piepshow can get super crowded.
Fr. 23:00 – Sat. 09:00 | Trance, Bounce
If you crave some Trance and Bounce Kapitel is a popular event among Berliners. Usually, a far younger crowd than the events above, but if you want to move quick and get some cardio in a good option for Friday
Saturday - 27.12.2025
Sat. 23:59 – Sun. 23:59 | (Hard) House
I am a big fan of the Multisex parties and even wrote some reviews on them. This time at Weekend club overlooking Berlin - you'll find me here!
Sat. 23:59 – Mon. 06:00 | House, Techno
Usually the Klubnacht's before a big event - in this case NYE - are some of the best ones.
Sat. 23:00 – Mon. 06:00 | Hardgroove, House
Arguably the best party during the weekend if you are into Hardgroove. Rene Wise, Yanamaste, Blasha & Allatt just to name a few. Kreuzwerk being a good location for such an event.
23:00–12:00 | Techno
A rare appearance of Headless Horseman in Berlin.
Sat. 23:59 – Mon. 8:00 | Techno
Lets call it by what it is. For most this will be the Plan B when denied at Berghain. RSO super solid club, the Line-Up looks solid and especially Stranger playing should be interesting.
Sat. 23:00 – Sun. 09:00 | Hard Techno, Trance
Not my typical recommendation, but if you are into Hard Techno and Trance this might be your event.
Sunday - 28.12.2025
Sun. 16:00 – Mon. 02:00 | House
The only new event I recommend for this Sunday. Otherwise stick to the Weekenders from Saturday as they will span well into Monday.
Monday - 29.12.2025
Mon. 23:00 – Tue. 11:00 | Minimal, Techno
This Monday is honestly a dead day. Just stay at home, get some rest or go to the SPA. If you need to go out this is the only option worthwhile.
Tuesday - 30.12.2025
Tue. 22:00 – Wed. 09:00 & Wed. 21:00 - Fr. 08:00| Hardgroove, Hard Techno, Trance, Bounce
They split there even and start the NYE celebrations on Tuesday already, however it's not open non-stop. Keep that in Mind! Line-up is great and the location has some of the best sound for an event space in Berlin.

If you're gay… like super gay … and super horny. Look no further
Wednesday - 31.12.2025
Wed. 23:59 – Fr. 10:00 | Techno
A sex positive party with good Techno Music in a very good club. This is a solid choice, and although I don't like Pornceptual, I often had a good time at Gegen. They also do this NYE collab for years already, so I am confident they now how to select and manage the crowd and vibe.
Wed. 23:59 – Fr. 10:00 | Techno, House
Some people love it, some hate it. Obviously more touristy, more expensive, most likely more crowded than usual. Are you up to wait for hours in line to possily get denied for no reason? On new years? On the other hand Curses on the XXX floor as well as Ogazon and Philippa Pacho present some compelling arguments to go.
Wed. 23:59 – Fr. 10:00 | (Power) House
With Prince Charles and Coco Boule opened together this one will be of perfect size in my opinion (~ 700 pax). Not too big, not too small, with high quality house music from two famous Berlin collectives

I've only been to Alte Munze during Pornceptual and didn't like it. On the other hand I feel like thats more the fault of the Pornceptual organizers. Because Munze itself is a very cool location and Musical Wise this one will present you some high energy techno. I think its worth a try if the sound speaks to you.
Wed. 23:59 – Fr. 10:00 | Techno, Power House
I love Studio1111 and the team behind it. The vibes will for sure be very friendly and familiar. But out of this list it is the smallest location and more of an extended Bar than a full on club event.
Thu. 01:00 – Mon. 10:00 | Techno, House, Concerts
Yes, you've read right! From Thursday to Monday, 105 hours, non-stop! Crazy! I personally only go to Sisy in Summer because it shines with its outdoor space, but the crew is super experienced and I am sure they will make their best to do NYE extra specials. Lot's of decorations, positive vibes, concerts and artists. It's also the last chance to go before they go into hilbernation until march.
Wed. 22:00 – Fr. 12:00 | Techno, House
A well liked club a bit less recognized than the big venues like RSO. However, the artists are well selected and the price is fair.
Wed. 23:00 – Fr. 06:00 | (Hard) groove
All Hardgroove lovers know the Primal Instinct. And for a reason. High quality music! Funk Assault alone would probably fill up this party already. In my opinion a bit overpriced for the Sonnenraum club, but it will for sure attract a crowd of music lovers.
Wed. 23:59 – Fr. 10:00 | Techno, House, Trance
Being honest I haven't heard from the Bodies Collective in a while. They've used to be much more known and active within the scene. However, Aeden is good, long running club and tickets are currently ~25 Euros, which is a steal for NYE.
Wed. 21:00 – Thu. 15:00 | Techno, House
Tresor already is known as Tourist destination, and NYE will only amplify that (like at every venue across the city). This is not necessary a bad thing as the artists they book are still absolutely worthwhile. Function, Skee Mask, Imogen, and the highlight in my opinion Shed, whos playing the Globus Floor with one of the best soundsystems in the city.

Wed. 23:00 – Thu. 12:00 | Trance, Bounce
It's Trance, and Bounce, and jumping all around. High energy event!
Wed. 22:00 – Fr. 10:00 | Techno, House
The location is quite a bit outside of the city. Which in this case is very positive, because it gives you the chance to escape the Kreuzberg/Neukölln Warezone a bit. Music wise I think it will attract an older crowd (35+)
Wed. 23:00 – Thu. 07:00 | Disco
Toy Tonics is synonymous with Disco. If you like their sound and want to go out during NYE, give it a go. Prices are fair and it with it being a shorter event it will for sure a more chill and (mentally) mature crowd compared to the other multi day bender events.
